LM PATIENT-1
A 35 y/o male member of the lifestyle modification group was interviewed on 22nd April 2022.
He was questioned about his daily routine . His day begins at 5:30 am, he wakes up, washes his face and goes for deaddiction centre activities .
He gets to ward by 0630 hrs, after which he freshens up .He then drinks menthulu water ( fenugreek seeds water) followed my Glimepiride 4 mg. At 8 am he goes for breakfast and eats Jonna rotte( Jowar Roti) . After breakfast he takes a metformin hydrochloride 1000 mg tablet.
He then guides other diabetes and liver patients in the ward about their diet management and medications taken as advised by the nurses.
From 1100 hrs to 1300 hrs patients go to seminars conducted by residents and interns for the de-addiction centre. He helps other fellow patients in understanding whatever has been advised
He gets back for lunch at 1330 hrs , he is strictly advised not to consume rice due to its high carbohydrate content so he eats chapati and curries .
He rests after lunch for a few hours. He spends the evening talking to other patients from ward and helps them cope up with their ailment .He goes for dinner at around 2000 hrs to 2100 hrs. he consumes 2 jonna rotte and some home made chutneys for dinner.
After dinner he walks for 15-20 mins and then rests on his bed till he falls asleep. He usually sleeps by 12 am..
When asked about his future goals/ plans for future:-
He says he wants to get his blood sugar levels under control, he wants to gain back the weight he lost due to the ailment. He says financial stability is gonna be his main focus after he gets back to the normal life.
